When God Speaks: Heaven Will Fight For You (Judges)

When God Speaks:"Heaven Will Fight For You"
November 8, 2008

They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera.- Judges 5: 20

As a nation, I believe we're all still basking in the events of this past Tuesday. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks about it and whispers a "thank you Jesus" from time to time. I know my eyes aren't the only ones that still have tears being wiped from them. And it has nothing to do with mere election results. For the past two years, mud was slung from here to there, hither and yon, to discredit a man that had been righteously ordained for this time. Weapons were formed but nothing prospered. It's the same way with you: it seems that with every trick, every closed door, every no, every failed attempt, you were supposed to fall down and stay there. How do you keep winning? How did he win? It was beyond your power; it was even bigger than the prayers that were prayed for you. Heaven and its angelic inhabitants rolled up their sleeves and fought -hard- for you.

Oh you didn't know? Michael, the field commander in the Army of the God, gathered the north, east, south and west winds together on your behalf. Because hot and cold can't stand in the same place, the winds created a tornado in the midst of your enemy. Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and (yes, despite what scientists now say) Pluto strategically placed themselves around your adversary and he was trapped. The Big Dipper chased your demons into the Milky Way where they drowned. The Little Dipper caused the imps that would try to destroy the purpose in your life to be tied up in Orion's Belt. The Sun and The Moon swapped responsibilities to create more confusion for your haters. Heaven fought for you and won!

Despite Tuesday's victory, people are still losing their jobs, their homes, their families and their minds. While I do believe "change" has come and will continue to manifest in this land, the salvation of our country does not rest on the shoulders of one man- nor did it ever. It lies in the hands of a great God. And as long as He is God (and He will be), Heaven's got your back- regardless of the circumstance. And honestly- the worst the situation looks, the better. God loves it when you realize the beauty is enjoying the spoils from a war you didn't (and couldn't) fight. How much sweeter is that victory, now?
